GeneDouglas Mary Magdelene -- Negates Catholic Female Priest Argument? 0 Jun 3 2008, 8:11 AM EDT by GeneDouglas

The Catholic Church has said that Jesus did not want women to be priests, as evidenced by the fact that all of his apostles were male, indicating His belief that all priests must also be male. However, there are writings suggesting that Mary Magdalene was a 13th apostle. Would that negate that argument?

GeneDouglas Mitary Commissions Act 0 Nov 11 2006, 7:44 PM EST by GeneDouglas

A brief look at the Military Commissions Act In Full, at the beginning shows that normal legal provisions relating to a speedy trial are denied, as is the normal right against compulsory self-incrimination. Rights in the Uniform Code of Military Justice relating to pre-trial investigation are also denied.

This act is a travesty, taking us back to the days of the Spanish Inquisition. We no longer have room to talk in criticizing the Soviet Union, Red China, or other countries in regard to their treatment of justice and human rights.

Because there is an important moral issue at hand, in which decency, right and wrong are at stake, even as we speak. Those are spiritual issues worthy of study and discussion, even as much as events in ancient times.
